This restoration project consisted of a home designed by famous Canadian architect Ron Thom in the 1960s. Key mid-century inspired furniture pieces and decor elements were selected by Maria Nordlund Design. The styling respects the original architecture yet simultaneously adds modern elements needed for the current design world. Highlights include a new kitchen, featuring a custom designed hood, an updated palette for the interior and exterior of the house, new lighting, as well as new furniture for the living room, dining room, and patio. This unique project showcases how a designed-specific home can work symbiotically with modernized updates while keeping the integrity of the original design.
